Promenade Ballet School offers personalized ballet instruction in a welcoming, supportive community. Our teaching fosters strength, confidence, independence, and artistic expression, while honouring each dancer’s individual journey.
We welcome students of all ages and experience levels, from beginners to those pursuing a more structured path. Ballet at PBS is taught with care, intention, and deep respect for both the art form and every dancer.

Promenade Ballet School is proud to include the AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE® National Training Curriculum, a breakthrough 9-level program that combines high-quality artistic training with the basics of dancer health and child development. The ABT® National Training Curriculum consists of a comprehensive set of age-appropriate, outcome-based guidelines to provide the highest quality ballet training to dance students of all ages and skill levels.
Pre-Primary through Level 7 and Partnering will be taught by ABT® Certified Teacher Jeehyun Liz Kim, who has successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Pre-Primary through Level 7 and Partnering of the ABT® National Training Curriculum.

Jeehyun Liz Kim
Liz began her ballet training at the Korean National Ballet Academy in Seoul, South Korea. She continued her studies at Canada’s National Ballet School and the Claude Watson Secondary Arts Program, later completing her graduate studies at New York University Steinhardt in Dance Education, specializing in Ballet Pedagogy. Liz is an ABT® Certified Teacher who has successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Pre-Primary through Level 7 and Partnering of the ABT® National Training Curriculum. She has also successfully presented students for the ABT® National Training Curriculum Student Examinations, with all students receiving High Honours. Liz has dedicated her professional career to ballet education, teaching young dancers in Seoul and New York and assisting at the ABT Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School Children’s Division. Her instruction emphasizes careful progression, musicality, and strong technical foundations while nurturing artistry, discipline, and confidence in every student. In addition to her dance background, Liz is a certified kindergarten and elementary educator with experience in International Baccalaureate schools, including Branksome Hall Asia. She is committed to creating a safe, supportive environment where children develop confidence, discipline, and a lifelong love of learning.
